Description

Spring Series 2018 will feature world premieres by two of today's most celebrated choreographers, Trey McIntyre and Darrell Grand Moultrie, as well as Matthew Neenan's Increasing (2014). Trey McIntyre has created over 100 world premiere works on some of the world’s most prestigious companies, including Stuttgart Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, and New York City Ballet. His 2016 BalletX premiere, Big Ones, set to the music of Amy Winehouse, was praised by The New York Times as "wacky, eccentric and fabulous.” New York-based choreographer Darrell Grand Moultrie has created work on many companies, including Colorado Ballet, Atlanta Ballet, and Dance Theatre of Harlem. Most recently, Moultrie was tapped to choreograph for Grammy Award winner Beyonce’s Mrs. Carter World Tour, one of the highest-grossing tours of the decade. The company will also perform Matthew Neenan’s Increasing, which The New York Times praised for showcasing the choreographer's ability to make dancers look "vulnerable, openhearted and, above all, marvelously free."
